“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”
This is the content of Revelation 1:3 in the Holy Bible which was written approximately 2000 years ago. This time, under the theme ‘Testimony on the Fulfilled Reality of Revelation,’ Chairman Lee clearly informed the people gathering at the Philippine International Convention Center Plenary Hall on April 20, 2024, not only of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation, but also of the reality that has come true according to the prophecies.
“For those who are not interested in religion this would not mean much but those who are interested, the past is past, God prophesied that too, fulfilled everything and came to an end. There are prophecies and fulfillment that I have yet to see. There are many people in this wide wild world and people do many things, have many things, but what is asked of us human beings? What is the end of man? That is not a small thing,” Chairman Lee said in Korean.
He also urged the audience to put the words of Revelation and its fulfilled reality in their hearts. “Let us put these words in our hearts and become one. Let us not let these efforts go in vain. I believe this kingdom of heaven must fulfill. If we put in our efforts, I believe things will go well. My duty is to tell you what I have seen and heard. I saw, I heard, I touched. This is my duty: to tell you.”
Gathered at the PICC Plenary Hall were over 4,000 participants from various sectors– politics, academe, policy makers, pastors, and religious leaders and congregation members– who all hear the testimonies of the Shincheonji Chairman.
The intercontinental seminar was also streamed live simultaneously to different parts of the world with live audiences in Russia, South Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan, aside from the livestream in the Shincheonji Youtube channel, Zoom, and Facebook. Online participants reached 100,000 with 11 language translations as it happens.
The Philippine seminar is the commencement of the “Shincheonji’s Intercontinental Seminar on the Holy Scriptures’ which will also happen in Europe, Africa, America, and Oceania.
Reacting to Chairman Lee’s statements, Arch. Antonio Ledesma, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro said: “In an effort to bring comparative explanations, it is great for people of different faiths to understand the meaning of their faith and what Chairman Lee has mentioned regarding the Book of Revelation is also one good way of explaining a particular book of the Bible. In fact, it’s emphasis on faith and belief is worthwhile [for] all of us whether Christians or Muslims.”
A Christian Pastor, Pastora Eva Nasibog said: “I feel so blessed, very amazed because today is the first time I witnessed this kind of event where different religious leaders gathered without debating… Without adding or subtracting, he was able to explain it without even having a script. It’s so amazing because I’ve been waiting for so long; now I’ve heard and I saw that the Book of Revelation has a reality and we can see it. I will never forget this day.”
Amielle Ordoñez from GMA Integrated News who covered the event said: “The Chairman’s message is very timely because we have a very chaotic world now; the threat of war is there at the local level in our very own Philippines especially in Mindanao; violence is everywhere… Awareness of the second coming is not being promoted in the different churches. Maybe it’s about time that the different religions talk about this Revelation that is found in the Bible because we just keep on talking about the New Testament every Sunday but not of the Revelation. So, it is very timely, it is relevant.”
Nicole Angeli L. Iguidez, a student, stated: “Chairman’s message was very inspiring, he mentioned that we cannot add or subtract words from the Book of Revelation. Another thing that he also mentioned was the importance of understanding the Book of Revelation because understanding [it] allows us to act according to the will of heaven. I believe that the Chairman’s words of message is also fostering peace and respecting other culture.”
These seminars on the Holy Scriptures are being held in response to requests from overseas religious leaders who want to hear lectures from Shincheonji Church of Jesus in person.
The event also presented a joint agreement containing the meaning of becoming one in the Holy Scriptures with religious leaders of different religions and denominations.
