Manila 2025. Following a critically acclaimed run earlier this year, Theatre Titas’ announces that their twin bill Dedma, is set to return for a limited time in October.
Dedma, features two plays Let’s Do Lunch and The Foxtrot, both penned by Theatre Titas’ co-founder, Chesie Galvez-Cariño. In Dedma, members of Manila’s elite toe the line between the beautiful pretense of their daily lives and the ugly truth that they try to hide.
Let’s Do Lunch, directed by Maribel Legarda, peers behind the curtain of Val and Issa’s friendship as a pleasant Makati get-together turns sour. Over the course of their meal their dynamics shift, leaving them to struggle through conversations that neither of them want to have. Returning cast members are Issa Litton as Issa, and Ash Nicanor as the kasambahay Bebang. Naths Everett will reprise her role as Val, alternating with Mayen Cadd.
The Foxtrot, directed by Paul Alexander Morales, places the situationship between dance instructor Diego and his student, the matron Anna, in the spotlight when the push and pull between the two distracts them from the reason for their meeting: one last rehearsal for an amateur ballroom dancing competition. Royce Cabrera feather steps into the role of Diego, alongside Jackie Lou Blanco who reprises as Anna.
With new cast members breathing fresh life into their characters, Dedma promises to unmask the elite of Manila one more time.
Dedma will run from October 17-26, 2025 at the Mirror Studio Theatre 2, with 8pm performances Fridays through Sundays and 3pm matinée performances on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets will be available at Ticket2Me for an early-bird price of P1000 each from August 18 to 24. Tickets will be sold at regular price from August 25 at P1200 each.
This run of Dedma is made possible through partnerships with Three Hens Wine, Scrub Daddy Philippines, and Vara.
