MANILA, AUGUST 2025- The highly anticipated experimental improv festival Fringeprov 2025 returns this
September 6, 2025 (Saturday) 7:00pm to September 7, 2025 (Sunday) 7:00am at Skinny Mike’s Bonifacio Global City featuring over 30 improv performances across a 12-hour time.
The Fringeprov Festival is a community-led improvisation theater festival that was started by the Philippine Improv school, Third World Improv (TWI) in 2018 to encourage experimental or new ways to perform improvisational theatre formats in a safe space.
In its 7th year, Fringeprov 2025: Buong Gabi Comedy is being led by alumni graduate volunteers of TWI, and
features acts of improvisational theater from both TWI student-formed groups, plus even some groups from the Philippine improv community as a whole. Fringeprov 2025 will feature 4 performance blocks with 8 improv groups each: Block 1 (7pm to 10pm), Block 2 (10pm to 1am), Block 3 (1am to 4am) and Block 4 (4am to 7am).
Notable improv groups during the festival include Housekeeping Improv, Noted with Thanks, Same Bananas,
Buwan ng Wika Improv, Improv Sessionistas, Hausmates, Malingap Beksters, and Asia’s premier improv theater group SPIT Manila.
Audience members can expect a mix of comedic and dramatic performances, fueled by the performers’ sleep deprivation and adrenaline. This energy heightens the fun of “Yes, And”-ing spontaneous creativity and experimentation—making the show a uniquely memorable experience for both audiences and performers.
Fringeprov 2025: Buong Gabi Comedy is co-presented by SPIT Manila and Sanghimig Performing Arts Events and Travel Consultancy, major sponsors Ceres Juices, Culture Blends, Salonpas, and Dentiste as well as the generosity of several TWI alumni members.
