Filmplace and “Running Man” Captivate Singapore with Second Episode Collaboration Featuring Local Esteem Brands

SINGAPORE – Filmplace, the leading content creators’ platform, continues to make waves in Singapore as they recently aired the second exclusive episode of the popular South Korean variety show, “Running Man,” on 26 November 2023 in South Korea. This unique collaboration showcases the stunning partnership between Filmplace, Mandai Wildlife Group, Grab, Bee Cheng Hiang, the Singapore Tourism Board, and Accor. The episode highlights the adventures of the six “Running Man” cast members and two special guests as they explore iconic Singapore locations, including Bee Cheng Hiang Grillery, Blanco Prawn Mee, and Clarke Quay, using Grab’s ride-hailing services.

In a seamless fusion of entertainment and promotion of local Singaporean culture, the latest episode takes the “Running Man” cast on an exciting journey through the vibrant streets of Singapore. The cast members experienced the thrill of the Slingshot rides in Clarke Quay, where the losing members were shot up 70 meters into the sky, experiencing a heart-pounding 5 Gs of force.

Yang Se-chan, a “Running Man” member, expressed his enjoyment of using Grab during their Singapore adventure. “I’ve used Grab before, and it’s fantastic. The app makes booking taxis across Southeast Asia quick and safe”, said Se-chan, adding a personal touch to the collaboration. The safety features provided by Grab, such as trip monitoring and driver facial authentication, make Grab one of the safest and most trusted ride-hailing services in Southeast Asia for tourists and locals alike.

The episode not only features the bustling streets of Haji Lane, the savoury delights of Bee Cheng Hiang, and the thrill of Clarke Quay but also highlights the convenience of using Grab’s superapp to get around Singapore. Kakao Pay can even be used as one of the modes of payment directly from the Grab app. As the cast members traverse the city, the audience gains insights into the local attractions and experiences available in Singapore.

This collaborative effort, made possible by Filmplace, underlines the commitment of all partners involved to provide viewers with a memorable blend of entertainment and cultural exploration. The involvement of Mandai, Grab, Bee Cheng Hiang, the Singapore Tourism Board, and Accor further solidifies the collaboration’s success in showcasing Singapore as a vibrant and diverse destination.

“We are thrilled to bring ‘Running Man’ to Singapore for this exclusive collaboration. The synergy between entertainment and real-life experiences is something we value, and working with esteemed partners and well-loved brands like Mandai, Grab, Bee Cheng Hiang, the Singapore Tourism Board, and Accor allows us to create content that resonates with our audience,” said Lincoln Lin, CEO at Filmplace.
